One NC
Naturally involves a regional planning process that
provides an effective forum for decision-making about conservation
in our communities. The state was divided into 8 regions to
facilitate the conservation planning process. By first working
with local and regional groups to address the specific needs
of each region, the state can move in an overall direction that
does not conflict with goals of any particular region. Local
and regional open space planning efforts provide invaluable
new information to add to the statewide conservation plan.
